ITS NATURE IS TO RESPECT NATURE

HUBTOWN was conceived by humans and designed for humans,
as such it puts respect and care for the environment first.
The district stands on pre-existing, brownfield areas
with the aim of regeneration without further use of land.
HUBTOWN uses renewable energy, rainwater recovery systems and recycles at least 85% of waste products. The project was designed according to one of the most advanced standards of environmental sustainability available on the Italian market and known at an international level: LEED®.

HUBTOWN is registered according to the LEED®v4 BD+C: Core&Shell Development protocol and aspires to obtain the LEED Gold certification.

The A, B, C1, and C2 buildings have already obtained LEED Gold level pre-certification according to the LEED®v4 BD+C protocol: Core&Shell Development.

AREA AND TRANSPORT
No further land use and site remediation activities where polluted. Sustainable mobility encouraged through the use of public transport, green vehicles and bicycles.
SITE SUSTAINABILITY
Presence of open areas, green roofs, and reduction of the effect of heat islands with the use of clear materials for roofing and outdoor paving, with high sun reflection index.
WATER MANAGEMENT
Collection and recovery of rainwater to reduce the use of drinkable water.
ENERGY AND ATMOSPHERE
Achievement of energy efficiency and building performance optimization of buildings respecting the environment.
MATERIALS AND RESOURCES
Reduction of waste, recycling, and use of materials with recycled or recovered content or with environmentally preferable features.
QUALITY OF THE INTERNAL ENVIRONMENT
Ventilation system optimized to improve air quality, increase the comfort, well-being, and productivity of the occupants. Use of low emission products guarantee the healthiness of areas.
